Ranch House

Santa Rosa

In the foothills of northeast Santa Rosa a beloved family home was lost in the Tubbs fire in 2017. From the ashes rises a new extended family home, building on and continuing the tradition of cherished family memories. The new 3,400 sf dwelling with separate bedroom wings is anchored by a central great room with kitchen and dining focusing on the ridge top views and beyond, emphasizing a relaxed California indoor/outdoor family lifestyle. A new detached 850 sf Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) nearby extends the family compound with a new swimming pool knitting the two structures together, providing an easily accessible common outdoor space. The latest building materials and fire resistant technology were carefully incorporated into the project. The landscape design takes into account the fire prone area and incorporates irrigation systems enabling the ground's saturation and water storage for emergency purposes.
