A new 3,600 sq. ft. two-story single family home, with full basement, replaces an existing home on a corner lot in the College Terrace neighborhood near Stanford University.  The design process was driven by the desire to create a well-articulated traditional structure with substantial street presence on two sides while providing casual living spaces and ample outdoor covered porches.  The new home features wrap-around porches and cross-gable elements.  Light wells bring substantial daylight and ventilation to the basement spaces, which include an office, media room and guest bedroom.
